Devotional Service

Devotional  Service

There are two types of persons. One who worship impersonal Brahaman and others who are involves in devotional service of God Shri Krishna.

Out of these two worshipers, who involves in devotional service of God Krishna are better than the other because for the living entities i.e., souls inside bodies, the progress on the path of worship of impersonal Brahman is very tough.

Impersonal Brahman is the unmanifested, beyond the perception of senses, not movable, stable, not subject to change and unborn. It is the impersonal idea of supreme truth. These are basically meditators who control their senses and focus their concentration on impersonal brahman. They treat all living beings equally and remained busy in the welfare of others and finally achieve God Shri Krishna but this path is very difficult and tedious. Similarly, Gyan yoga is also a difficult path to reach God.

God Shri Krishna liberate devotee from the cycle of birth and death who fixed their minds on him with devotion without deviation and give up all their activities to God. They meditate upon God Shri Krishna.

God Shri Krishna wants his devotees to fix their mind on him and as a result of which all the devotees can remain in God Shri Krishna without any doubt.

Those who can not fix their mind on God Shri Krisna are required to do Bhakti -Yoga
and develop a desire in them to attain God Shri Krishna.

Those who can not do Bhakti-Yoga, they are advised to work for God Shri Krishna to come on the platform of perfection.

Those who can not work for God Shri Krishna, they should give up all results of their actions and develop the attitude of self-satisfaction and remain in peace because meditation is better than the cultivation of knowledge and giving up fruits of results of action is better than meditation and cultivation of knowledge.

Devotional Service to Spiritual master.

The right disciple is one who is dedicated to the spiritual master. Disciple has to keep him away from pride, fame, praise. The mind has such a type of nature that is filled with pride as soon as you possess amazing quality. Pride mitigates the devotional service. It is just like adding curd in milk or poison in nectar.

Humble nature gives us liberation but pride leads us to downfall. Disciple has to be very humble in nature. Devotional service to your spiritual master saves you from pride generated through doing following activities on the direction of mind such as recitation of mantra, austerity, patience and control, penances. Generation of pride destroys the fruits of all the pious activities such as recitation of mantra, austerity, patience and control, penances.

We have to make ourselves strong in devotion to our spiritual master and discard all the direction coming from the mind. To obey all the direction of the spiritual master, one should inculcate obeying in mind as the topmost requirement to be the right disciple. This can only be learned in the company of spiritual master or if the spiritual master is not alive or is far away then following his spiritual instructions is real devotion to him. One who left his false pride, lust, false ego, anger, attachment, greed and does devotional service to spiritual master with full faith is the real disciple. Contemplation on our spiritual master face every day in prayer or meditation makes our mind lose its fickleness and mind slowly comes under our control. Worship of spiritual master along with God is necessary two times every day. Increasing the attachment towards spiritual master weakens the filthy mind.

Devotional Service to God Shri Krishna:

Devotional service to God Shri Krishna is a tool to get rid of bad and good reactions of actions committed in this life or previous life but once on the platform of devotional service, one should desist from doing any bad action as it is detrimental or harmful to both the person and his spiritual master.

Devotional service and pride cannot stay together. If you are proud of yourself and your achievements then you cannot move ahead on the path of devotional service. If your heart contains pride then you are not doing devotional service although you may appear to be doing it physically and it is your illusion. If pride occupies your heart then devotional service leaves your heart immediately.  Heart is a seat for God and spiritual master and not for desires and lust.

Here God Krishna is saying to Arjuna that to be in pure transcendental consciousness, it is necessary for a person to give up all the varieties of sense gratifications which arise from engagement of senses as per urges of satisfaction of gratifications on the direction of mind which is not stable and wandering here and there and which is the friend and enemy of a person.

Mind is our friend if we are able to control it and mind is our enemy if we allow ourselves to be controlled by it. These urges for the satisfaction of material sense gratification arise because of the tendency of mental concoction in us which make us believe something which is not true.

It is just like if we add different ingredients in a new way to make some new meal. Our mind has a tendency of mental concoction as it picks some part of the story from somewhere and remaining parts from some other stories and presents a new picture in front of us which appears to be astonishing but in reality, the n…

Pious Manners

Pious Manners
There is a chain of events to reach soul happiness. It starts from good thoughts and good thoughts lead to good manners and it leads to the pious mind and which leads to soul happiness.

It is in the company of Saints/sages/good people that we generate or inculcate good thoughts. A good company is the requisite for self-realization. The biggest hindrance to self-realization is arrogance and pride. Humility is the most important factor for self-realization. The way you thought the way you work. Keep your thought pure to do goods actions which leads to good habits or manners. Thoughts engrossed in material things leads to unhappiness. Godly thoughts are our real Saviours. Bad thoughts are like seeds of thorn yielding plants.

Keep a vigil on the three main sense organs such as eyes, mouth, ear. Engage these sense organs in devotion to God or else they will drag you down to hell. Whatever we hear, see, or speak has a tremendous effect on our mind and consciousness. Engage ear …

Brahman is non-destructive and exists eternally without any change. Karma creates the material bodies of living entities. Karma forces us to take a new body after our death. It may be a body of human, bird, animal, or any demigod depending on the consciousness in which we left our last breath. We keep the remembrance of God in our entire life so that at the last moment of our life, we should not miss the chance to go back to where we actually belong and that is the abode of the home of our God.

Hear, remember, the chant holy name of God isthree pillars of our life of spiritual realization. The material nature is consistently undergoing changes. Change is the bitter truth of life. We should not get ourselves attached to the material world consisting of our family, society, nation, relatives, bank balance, home, property, and other material things otherwise we will feel immense pain when a constant and continuous change of material nature will snatch these things from us. Yo…

Humility is the prerequisite for advancement on the path of self-realization and devotion to God. Our spiritual master has instructed us through holy sermons and discourses that we should be humble to deal with pride and false ego in us.

This humble nature protects us from persons puffed up with a false sense of proprietorship, ego, and pride. Some venomous persons remain enthusiastic about how to pick a quarrel with anybody without any good reasons as they are blind due to power, money, false ego, pride, and muscle power. They love to hurl abuses, insult, and humiliate anybody without any good reason. This age which is called "Kaliyug" is the age of hypocrisy and quarrel.

The best way to deal with these people is to remain humble and increase the quality of humility in us. Whenever you come across these types of people than just remain humble and pacified them with your humility. We do not have to hurt their pride or ego but try to put our point peacefully and try to…

ConcentrationAs per Bhagavad-Gita, the devotee who concentrates his mind on God Shri Krishna will reach the abode of God after death if he remember God Shri Krishna at the time of his death. The concentration of mind towards God should be just like the concentration of women towards water collected in an earthen pot which they carry over their heads while returning to home after filling water in the earthen pot from a pond located far away from their home. This scene is quite visible in Indian villages. The women placed the earthen pot on their heads and do not allow water to spill from the pot although they travel large distances on uneven ground and keep talking to each other while walking but because their concentration remains in the water of the pot. Similarly, Juggler juggling with balls and acrobat making balance on a tight rope are other examples of strong concentration that help these people perform well in their profession. Gymnastics are also known for their high concentrat…
