KARMA YOGA

The KARMA YOGA (Work without desires of  fruitive results)

Some peoples are confused with the word "KARMA YOGA". Karma Yoga means doing work for the sake of doing work only as a prescribed duty without any attachment for the desired results and focus on work only and not results. We have rights to the best performance of our work but we have no right to our result which is beyond our scope of rights. We work in our office but despite our hard work if our employer does not wish to release our salary due to some financial problems or due to his selfish motives then we will not get the result of our work as result depends on factors beyond our control. Karma Yoga does not mean that you work like an ox in an oil mill to raise wealth for you and your family for enjoying sense gratifications and indulging in senses. We are compelled to do our work according to quality which we acquired from material nature. We can't remain without work, not even for a second. One should control active senses by the mind and do karma yoga without attachment to the results of action and doing work as a matter of duty only. Work is so essential that we can not even maintain our body without work. Performing your prescribed duty as sacrifice to Vishnu and for his satisfaction to avoid bondage by work is better than not working at all. You have only two options: To do work or Not to do work. For a person who is satisfied with himself only and is on the path of self-realization, there is no purpose for doing the prescribed duty and he does not even think about not doing any work. He does not feel any need to depend upon someone.

Karma Yoga is doing work in devotion to God Shri Krishna without engaging in senses desires and sense gratification with no attachment for favorable results whereas Karma is doing work for favorable results with focus and attachment with results only.

Whatever you do, do as a sacrifice to God. Always offer vegetarian food prepared at home first to God Krishna and then consume it as prasadam otherwise food prepared to satisfy the tongue and stomach is nothing but eating sin and living a life of sense gratification in vain. The food offered to Krishna first makes food purified from material contamination.
If you are a great man then you have to be very careful and cautious with your behavior and actions because other people will follow your actions and behavior. He sets examples for others to follow. God Shri Krishna had everything in the universe and he could obtain anything by simply wishing but still, he was playing the role of chariot driver in Mahabharata for Arjuna because he knew that ordinary people follow great personalities and whatever great men do, other follows them. He has to set before them an example of doing work with no attachment to results and doing selfless work as a matter of duty only.

False ego makes us think that we are a doer of our activities but whatever we do, is done, by three modes of material nature i.e., mode of goodness, mode of passion, mode of ignorance. Each person acts according to nature which he has acquired from the three modes. There are principles to regulate attachment and aversion regarding senses and their objects. One should not allow attachment and aversion in the path of self-realization. Performing your prescribed duty even with fault is better than doing another man's duty perfectly. Following another's path is perilous. To get freedom from the bondage of work, we have to surrender all of our work to God Shri Krishna with no desire for gain and with no claim to proprietorship and free from indolence.

Work in devotional service is better than renunciation of work. You will not be happy if you renounce all work but not engage in devotional service. Yogis have to work with mind, senses, body, intelligence without attachment for the only purification. Supreme lord does not assume anybody's bad or pure activities. All living beings are equal. To get liberation, you have to fix your mind, intelligence, faith, refuge on God only. Live a life of equilibrium with no sense of gratification, anger, desires, sins, attachment, always in trance and enjoying pleasure in soul only and focus on supreme God as Supreme Lord of all the planets and demigods, ultimate proprietor and enjoyer, take carer and well-wisher of all living entities and people working for the welfare of all living beings and are self-disciplined will be surely liberated in supreme in the forthcoming future and attain peace from sorrows of the material world.

PURE CONSCIOUSNESS

PURE CONSCIOUSNESS
Here God Krishna is saying to Arjuna that to be in pure transcendental consciousness, it is necessary for a person to give up all the varieties of sense gratifications which arise from engagement of senses as per urges of satisfaction of gratifications on the direction of mind which is not stable and wandering here and there and which is the friend and enemy of a person.

Mind is our friend if we are able to control it and mind is our enemy if we allow ourselves to be controlled by it. These urges for the satisfaction of material sense gratification arise because of the tendency of mental concoction in us which make us believe something which is not true.

It is just like if we add different ingredients in a new way to make some new meal. Our mind has a tendency of mental concoction as it picks some part of the story from somewhere and remaining parts from some other stories and presents a new picture in front of us which appears to be astonishing but in reality, the n…

Pious Manners

Pious Manners
There is a chain of events to reach soul happiness. It starts from good thoughts and good thoughts lead to good manners and it leads to the pious mind and which leads to soul happiness.

It is in the company of Saints/sages/good people that we generate or inculcate good thoughts. A good company is the requisite for self-realization. The biggest hindrance to self-realization is arrogance and pride. Humility is the most important factor for self-realization. The way you thought the way you work. Keep your thought pure to do goods actions which leads to good habits or manners. Thoughts engrossed in material things leads to unhappiness. Godly thoughts are our real Saviours. Bad thoughts are like seeds of thorn yielding plants.

Keep a vigil on the three main sense organs such as eyes, mouth, ear. Engage these sense organs in devotion to God or else they will drag you down to hell. Whatever we hear, see, or speak has a tremendous effect on our mind and consciousness. Engage ear …

Brahman is non-destructive and exists eternally without any change. Karma creates the material bodies of living entities. Karma forces us to take a new body after our death. It may be a body of human, bird, animal, or any demigod depending on the consciousness in which we left our last breath. We keep the remembrance of God in our entire life so that at the last moment of our life, we should not miss the chance to go back to where we actually belong and that is the abode of the home of our God.

Hear, remember, the chant holy name of God isthree pillars of our life of spiritual realization. The material nature is consistently undergoing changes. Change is the bitter truth of life. We should not get ourselves attached to the material world consisting of our family, society, nation, relatives, bank balance, home, property, and other material things otherwise we will feel immense pain when a constant and continuous change of material nature will snatch these things from us. Yo…

Humility

Humility
Humility is the prerequisite for advancement on the path of self-realization and devotion to God. Our spiritual master has instructed us through holy sermons and discourses that we should be humble to deal with pride and false ego in us.

This humble nature protects us from persons puffed up with a false sense of proprietorship, ego, and pride. Some venomous persons remain enthusiastic about how to pick a quarrel with anybody without any good reasons as they are blind due to power, money, false ego, pride, and muscle power. They love to hurl abuses, insult, and humiliate anybody without any good reason. This age which is called "Kaliyug" is the age of hypocrisy and quarrel.

The best way to deal with these people is to remain humble and increase the quality of humility in us. Whenever you come across these types of people than just remain humble and pacified them with your humility. We do not have to hurt their pride or ego but try to put our point peacefully and try to…

Concentration

ConcentrationAs per Bhagavad-Gita, the devotee who concentrates his mind on God Shri Krishna will reach the abode of God after death if he remember God Shri Krishna at the time of his death. The concentration of mind towards God should be just like the concentration of women towards water collected in an earthen pot which they carry over their heads while returning to home after filling water in the earthen pot from a pond located far away from their home. This scene is quite visible in Indian villages. The women placed the earthen pot on their heads and do not allow water to spill from the pot although they travel large distances on uneven ground and keep talking to each other while walking but because their concentration remains in the water of the pot. Similarly, Juggler juggling with balls and acrobat making balance on a tight rope are other examples of strong concentration that help these people perform well in their profession. Gymnastics are also known for their high concentrat…
