Saint of steady Mind

SAINT OF PEACEFUL MIND:

Every living entity is subject to threefold miseries in this material world as per the teaching of God Krishna in Bhagavad-Gita. The miseries caused by other living beings such as humans, animals, bacteria, virus, hot weather, cold weather, age, diseases, fever, flu or arthritis or any physical ailment, by our own mind as our mind keep us worried throughout our life for events which will never happen. our mind keeps us in the ocean of anxieties.

Our mind never allows us to enjoy life as it gets us troubled with unnecessary worries. you must have observed yourself that many of our previous worries have not happened in this present life. We are also put into trouble by natural calamities such as earthquakes, volcano eruption, landslides, famines floods, etc. No one is free from these threefold miseries of this material world.

One who is not worried, when these threefold miseries put him in trouble and when everything is going well in his/her life.

The person who has devoted his life to the devotional service of supreme God Shri Krishna will always think that my problems are reduced to a large extent due to mercy of Krishna and when everything is going well in his life then he gives the credit to God Krishna as Krishna has made arrangement to keep him/her in the comfort zone so that he/she can do devotional service with more energy and zeal.

A devotee keeps himself free from attachment knowing well that this material world is subject to change at every moment and nothing is permanent in this world and everything or situations are temporary and will get change in due course of time.

A person who remains attached to his family, wealth, position, designation, body will have to bear immeasurable pain when the situation turns to worse and starts changing. Our so-called family members, friends, colleagues will leave us one day or other due to material factors such as old age, diseases, death. We have to leave our childhood buddies due to a change in school or getting admission in different colleges.

Our colleagues at the workplace leave us after getting a good opportunity at some other company or we have to change our job. Our children leave us for studying abroad or for studying in some outstation college or after marriage when they find it difficult to live with us due to their want of privacy and non-adjustment with us.

Attachment to anything or a person is always painful. Fear is another factor that does not allow us to do our best in spite of our best potential. It made us work in uncomfortable zones and under those superiors who insult or humiliate us for no good reason. It shuns our ability to protest and make us week and submissive.

Anger is another factor that makes us blind in a fit of rage for revenge and put us in a dangerous situation as we are bent on causing harm or insult to other human beings. It spoils our relations with our peers, superiors, friends, family members, and neighbours.

Lust, Anger, Fear, Greed, attachment are required to push out of our heart altogether because if any one of them remains in our heart then we are doomed to be destroyed. If you are noticing that anger is still present in your heart then you must also come to the conclusion that others (Lust Fear, Greed, attachment) are also present in some percentage in your heart and have the ultimate capability to harm you in the coming future. We have one heart so either evils or God can accommodate in it.

Now we have come to the definition of sage with a steady mind. A sage with a steady mind is that person who is not affected by threefold miseries of this material world and who is not affected if there is happiness or sorrow in his life. A person who has evicted anger, greed, lust, attachment, fear from his heart as these are stumbling blocks on the road to liberation from birth and death.

A person living a life of equilibrium is eligible for liberation and this is the main teaching of Bhagavad Gita. On the other hand, the person who is not connected with God and who does not think that God is the ultimate enjoyer, proprietor, real friend of all living beings will neither have a peaceful and steady mind nor transcendental intelligence. He will always remain unhappy, unsatisfied, distressful and at the end of his life, he leaves his last breath burdened with lots of unfulfilled desires and anxieties.

Thanks for reading the blog.

Obeisance to my spiritual master and God.

PURE CONSCIOUSNESS

PURE CONSCIOUSNESS
Here God Krishna is saying to Arjuna that to be in pure transcendental consciousness, it is necessary for a person to give up all the varieties of sense gratifications which arise from engagement of senses as per urges of satisfaction of gratifications on the direction of mind which is not stable and wandering here and there and which is the friend and enemy of a person.

Mind is our friend if we are able to control it and mind is our enemy if we allow ourselves to be controlled by it. These urges for the satisfaction of material sense gratification arise because of the tendency of mental concoction in us which make us believe something which is not true.

It is just like if we add different ingredients in a new way to make some new meal. Our mind has a tendency of mental concoction as it picks some part of the story from somewhere and remaining parts from some other stories and presents a new picture in front of us which appears to be astonishing but in reality, the n…

Pious Manners

Pious Manners
There is a chain of events to reach soul happiness. It starts from good thoughts and good thoughts lead to good manners and it leads to the pious mind and which leads to soul happiness.

It is in the company of Saints/sages/good people that we generate or inculcate good thoughts. A good company is the requisite for self-realization. The biggest hindrance to self-realization is arrogance and pride. Humility is the most important factor for self-realization. The way you thought the way you work. Keep your thought pure to do goods actions which leads to good habits or manners. Thoughts engrossed in material things leads to unhappiness. Godly thoughts are our real Saviours. Bad thoughts are like seeds of thorn yielding plants.

Keep a vigil on the three main sense organs such as eyes, mouth, ear. Engage these sense organs in devotion to God or else they will drag you down to hell. Whatever we hear, see, or speak has a tremendous effect on our mind and consciousness. Engage ear …

Brahman is non-destructive and exists eternally without any change. Karma creates the material bodies of living entities. Karma forces us to take a new body after our death. It may be a body of human, bird, animal, or any demigod depending on the consciousness in which we left our last breath. We keep the remembrance of God in our entire life so that at the last moment of our life, we should not miss the chance to go back to where we actually belong and that is the abode of the home of our God.

Hear, remember, the chant holy name of God isthree pillars of our life of spiritual realization. The material nature is consistently undergoing changes. Change is the bitter truth of life. We should not get ourselves attached to the material world consisting of our family, society, nation, relatives, bank balance, home, property, and other material things otherwise we will feel immense pain when a constant and continuous change of material nature will snatch these things from us. Yo…

Humility

Humility
Humility is the prerequisite for advancement on the path of self-realization and devotion to God. Our spiritual master has instructed us through holy sermons and discourses that we should be humble to deal with pride and false ego in us.

This humble nature protects us from persons puffed up with a false sense of proprietorship, ego, and pride. Some venomous persons remain enthusiastic about how to pick a quarrel with anybody without any good reasons as they are blind due to power, money, false ego, pride, and muscle power. They love to hurl abuses, insult, and humiliate anybody without any good reason. This age which is called "Kaliyug" is the age of hypocrisy and quarrel.

The best way to deal with these people is to remain humble and increase the quality of humility in us. Whenever you come across these types of people than just remain humble and pacified them with your humility. We do not have to hurt their pride or ego but try to put our point peacefully and try to…

Concentration

ConcentrationAs per Bhagavad-Gita, the devotee who concentrates his mind on God Shri Krishna will reach the abode of God after death if he remember God Shri Krishna at the time of his death. The concentration of mind towards God should be just like the concentration of women towards water collected in an earthen pot which they carry over their heads while returning to home after filling water in the earthen pot from a pond located far away from their home. This scene is quite visible in Indian villages. The women placed the earthen pot on their heads and do not allow water to spill from the pot although they travel large distances on uneven ground and keep talking to each other while walking but because their concentration remains in the water of the pot. Similarly, Juggler juggling with balls and acrobat making balance on a tight rope are other examples of strong concentration that help these people perform well in their profession. Gymnastics are also known for their high concentrat…
